A Different Tribe!
“But you know if God should stamp eternity or even judgment on our eyeballs, or if you’d like on the fleshy table of our hearts I am quite convinced we’d be a very, very different tribe of people, God’s people, in the world today. We live too much in time, we’re too earth bound. We see as other men see, we think as other men think. We invest our time as the world invests it. We're supposed to be a different breed of people. I believe that the church of Jesus Christ needs a new revelation of the majesty of God. We’re all going to stand one day, can you imagine it- at the judgment seat of Christ to give an account for the deeds done in the body. This is what- this is the King of kings, and He’s the Judge of judges, and it’s the Tribunal of tribunals, and there’s no court of appeal after it. The verdict is final.”
― Leonard Ravenhill

Saved in 1974 while working at a feed store, led to the Lord by a long haired Charismatic Catholic.
Attended a Methodist Church for a while.
I was a casual Christian for several years until I met my wife Iris in 1980. We moved from Georgia to Louisiana, upon moving there we began to attend a Non-Denominational Full Gospel Church, it was at this time we made Jesus fully our Lord and not just our Savior.
Once making Jesus our Lord, we participated in several ministries, starting out in the cleaning ministry, to ushering to altar working and to teaching.
After attending leadership training, in 1994, became a lay leader in the church, running small home groups and preaching. Continued with increased responsibilities and ministry time until Ordained in 2004.
Was transferred to Missouri in 2006. Became Senior Pastor of Deep Waters Church International in 2011 to date.
Since 1994 have ministered in several countries Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Afghanistan! We continue to pastor Deep Waters Church and minister at other venues.

THE MOST IMPORTANT ELEMENTS OF THE STUDY OF APOLOGETICS
BY REV. JORGE F. CANEPA
Apologetics is not a set of techniques for winning people to Christ, it is not a set of argumentation templates designed to win debates. Normally the apologist is presented as an aggressive person who tries by different means to argue people into forming the church, sometimes it works, sometimes not.
We need to be very careful with it. The best apologetics is from the vision of our hearts believing in what we know from our studies of the Word. Without the real knowledge of the Word we cannot be a good apologist, and that is very danger because we are supposed know what we say, what we defend.
With a good knowledge, we are in the situation to give good arguments in order to show our Christian faith, in that way we will be available to give the proper answers to the people’s questions and concerns.
Apologetics is about persuading people of the truth of the Christian faith. If we are lucky to persuade someone that an idea is correct, the big question is: is that person will change his or her life? not necessary, we need to count with the Holy Spirit, who is who will change and save that person. We are only instruments of god, we do not change people minds, the Holy Spirit does it.
I was in two situations that I would like to explain.
A friend of mine, a catholic person told me that she will be a better person only after she reincarnate several times. I explain to her that if she was a Catholic person she would know better the Word-the Bible, and she told me that she knew it. I was trying to explain to her that the Bible does not say anything about reincarnation, and I was showing her 1 Thessalonians 4: 14, but everything was in vain.
After several times that I was trying to explain to her, and knowing the hardiness of her heart, I ask her to ask her priest to show her where in the Bible say that statement. Her answer was “I do not want to lose my time asking him that question, because he will say to me the same that you told me already”. I was very happy, because I believe until today that the Holy Spirit was working on her. We never discussed this anymore, and I wish that she understood not my point, but the Word.
Another scenario was about the word that too many Christians do not like to listen, the word TITHE!!!
I was talking with a friend of me about tithe, and he ask me if I tithe regularly, my answer was yes, and he ask me why I tithe, and my response was to show him Malachi 3: 7-10, and I explain why, and his answer to me was a question “do you tithe before or after tax”? I start smiling instead to be upset, I saw hardiness heart and I told him that he needs to read that chapter and then we would like to sit together and discussed. He never approaches me again. Lately, he asks me again about the same issue, and I gave him the same response, and I was very happy because the Holy Spirit was working on him.
After study this course of Apologetics I discovered something that I was doing to defend our faith and trying to help friends and people, but I did not realize at that time, that I was doing the work of an apologist.
Now, I realize that I was very defensive and offensive, I was very rough, and now I know why. In the beginning of my studies I was so excited that always I said to myself what I was reading is” black and white”, simple like that, is not possible to be “gray”, because is somebody say is “gray” means to me that God was wrong, and we know that is impossible.
I had some encounters with people that told me that were Christians, but at the same time they told me that some parts of the Bible do not apply in this century, because the world change a lot, and they cannot apply the bible now.
At that point I could not control myself, and now I realize that my reactions were very poor and rough, instead to win people they were running away from me. But at the same time, I was trying to defend my points and views, but I was wrong on my approach.
A good Christian need to have control and show the people that we are the image of Jesus Christ. We need to be ready to defend our faith, and the only way to do that is knowing the Word, we need to attempt to keep people out of hell, we need to be able to counter the bad image that Christianity has received in the media and in our culture,
There are many false teachings out there that try to influence the minds of the believers, a lot of immorality in America and the whole world. We cannot ignore God’s Word and believe that will not be consequences, we know that Christianity is under attack, and we need to fight the good fight of the faith.
We need to give rational, intelligent and good explanations of the content of the word, and the most important part of defending the faith is with prayer, trusting the lord and keep going.

" I’d still take comfort, relieved even though in persistent pain; for I’ve not denied the words of the holy one. What is my strength, that I should hope; my end, that my life should drag on? Is my strength that of rocks, my flesh bronze? I don’t have a helper for myself; success has been taken from me. " (Job 6:10-13)
Job was lamenting his struggles and trying to come to grips with what was happening in his life. We would have been hard-pressed to have dealt with it ourselves. We get an inventory of the trials this man is enduring: bodily affliction, loss of family, income and associates who do nothing but speak in a despairing fashion. All of which would be terribly overwhelming to any individual. Also considering he is unaware of the challenge that Satan is throwing at God. Job would persevere in the long term. However, the questioning and doubt of oneself and the Almighty is on full display in the text.
The author C. S. Lewis in speaking of the dryness we experience during trials writes:
(The Devil’s) cause is never more in danger than when a human, no longer desiring, but still intending, to do (God’s) will, looks round upon a universe from which every trace of Him seems to have vanished, and asks why he has been forsaken, and still obeys. (Screwtape Letters. Parentheses are mine)
The Book of Amos speaks of a plumbline. “This is what the Lord showed me: The Lord was standing by a wall, with a plumb line in his hand.” (Amos 7:7).
What is a plumbline? It is a device builders use to ensure that a wall is upright. Through many years of ministry and counsel, I have found three things to use as a plumbline in evaluating where I am and in assisting others amid the trials they go through.
In the Episcopal Church they have a concept of “The Three Legged Stool” when it comes to evaluating truth and correct doctrine. They are: Tradition, the Word and the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Scriptures should, of course, be primary. And time spent in prayer and meditation can open us to the Holy Spirit so he can guide us. But are we willing to add tradition? I am not speaking of habits or ritual. I am speaking of the wisdom and testimony of old preachers and authors who have gone before us; saints who we have worked with and whose testimonies address similar challenges in our lives.
I remember listening to R. W. Shambach and Charles Simpson in ministers' sessions. They built up my faith and it helped me to recognize God’s work in my life. Other wonderful men and women of God spoke into my life as well, whose life experiences gave me insight studies could never have given me. It is good to remember that we have not experienced everything. There have been many gone before us who have and can offer help. I remember how smart I thought I was in bible school. However, the longer I have been in ministry I have learned to listen to the godly voices of the ministry.
So in conclusion: “…let’s also run the race that is laid out in front of us, since we have a great cloud of witnesses surrounding us. Let’s throw off any extra baggage, get rid of the sin that trips us up, and fix our eyes on Jesus, faith’s pioneer and perfecter. He endured the cross, ignoring the shame, for the sake of the joy that was laid out in front of him, and sat down at the right of God’s throne. (Hebrews 12:1-2 CEB)

Throughout this pandemic or I’d rather call it a “pause” for the body of Christ we have had such amazing worship and prayer meetings with The Lord! It has seemed that as the world began falling apart in so many areas with politics and sickness, we have really been positioned for an overcomer’s blessing!!
In studying the altars of God, I thank Him that amidst grief and mourning, sickness and isolation because we have set altars/those places of divine encounters through the cross of Christ that we were positioned through sacrifice and obedience to Christ to continue walking in fresh revelation and healing this whole past year.
We walked out our healings and walked into fresh revelation. Because we understood what it was to set an altar before God, we walked in joy and watched as blessings overtook us. That is the testimony of Upper Room at this time and we pray Hebrews 10:37 In just a little while, He who is coming will come and will not delay.
We are not speaking of being raptured out of here, but praying for His Presence and visitation coming to us right now, right here in the earth. Therefore we will become part of ushering in the greatest revival and souls coming to the Lord ever witnessed in the earth!

Knowing What we Know Gives us Hope!
David Wilkerson the Christian evangelist best known for his book "The Cross and the Switch blade" and founder of the addiction program "Teen Challenge" at one of these meetings In 1960, at age 21 Sony Arguinzoni befriended Nicky Cruz at a teen Challenge in Brooklyn. Sony credits Nicky Cruz for his Christian walk and becoming a born again Christian. While at Bible College Sony met his wife Julie. After they were married they held church meetings in their home. They ministered to individuals, street gangs and those with drug abuse issues.
In 1973 Roy Rogers (King of the Cowboys), gave approximately 200 acres to Victory Outreach in Helendale Calif. and they call it "The Ranch" which is a drug and alcohol recovery home. This Ranch is one of many residential visions of Victory Outreach. The purpose of the Ranch is to reclaim, redeem and restore the lives of the men and women that has been destroyed or disrupted by drugs, alcohol or other substance abuse. By establishing the essential values of the commitment to Christ, restoration of the family, and a positive work ethic.
My husband and I have been involved with the Ranch since 1993. Every Monday I preach, teach, and pray with the men and women, I sought out ordinations as God called me to the ministry. Over these past few years have witnessed the men and woman change their hearts and minds from gangs, and drugs to God. I have witness many miracles as these precious women and men travel over the world sharing their hearts about their abuse, and brokenness with their testimonies how God changed everything.

Chapter One
In 2019 my wife Rebecca and I went on our first and probably last full time RV
journey. It lasted for thirteen months and 7,000 miles. We traveled in a 38ft diesel
motorhome towing our Kia Soul. Before we left and during our trip we prayed for
divine encounters and asked the Lord to use us to touch people. We took some notes
to help our aging minds to remember the encounters.
We first went to Michigan from Cedar Rapids, IA to visit my newly found half sister,
Candy. Candy was given away at birth by my mother which none of us knew about
It was wonderful to find out she is also a sister in Christ.
After a couple of days with Candy we headed for Saint Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec
Canada. Our first night on the way there we stayed on the USA and Canadian border
where we had electrical problems on the campgrounds shore power outlet. We had to
call the maintenance man for help. After striking up a conversation with Dave the
mechanic I asked him where he stood with Jesus. That opened the door for further
discussion. It turns out he had what I call blended religion. A little Christianity, a little
Buddhism and so on. With some God filled words and timing I was able to preach the
“way, truth and life” to him.
Some of these experiences were more dramatic than others so stay tuned in for
more chapters with On the Road with Jesus.

One of my favorite scripture's Is Psalm 27:13, I would have fainted, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
Nahum1:7 The LORD is good, refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him.
I just wanted to share about the goodness of the Lord. The goodness of God is one the attributes of God, as well as a description of His very essence.
God's goodness is personal. He has been so good to me in my life over and over when I look back and see, Psalm 23 says His Goodness
and Mercy will follow me all the days of my life. Don't you love that! Psalm 34:8 Taste and see the Lord is good. We cannot earn and do not merit His goodness.
It is available to us regardless of our station in life, even though we are not worthy of it.. Matthew 5:45 says:....He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good,
and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. And we read in Psalm 145:9 that "The Lord is good to all; He has compassion on all he has made.
I recall a testimony where a little girl was born with one side of her face no skin on it. She was at a healing meeting with her father and God told the Man of God that was
leading the meeting to go over and put his hand on her and declare healing over her. The littler girl was healed instantly. God spoke to the Man of God, and He said
you know why I healed her, and said because i am Good.
So declare God's Goodness in your life today and see the amazing things He will do. He is so Good and Faithful.

Cultivate Honduras
Rev Nathan and Kathy Brown
Every week we share food with people in need, if you want to help please let me know! “It is more blessed to give than to receive” Jesus.
END OF THE DISTRIBUTION PROJECT
With all of our hearts we thank all of the people and organizations that have helped us as we have fed people in our community almost every week for the last nine months. This has been a trying time for everyone, and I believe that God has used Cultivate Honduras to sustain many people when it was impossible to find work. Now that the economy is opening, there are jobs for those who need them, and after much prayer we have decided to end the regular distribution of food staples. We will continue to work in this community, hoping to be a blessing in other ways.
